ouch much?

i'm like a walking disaster on some days. perhaps it really is time to buy those 7 different kinds of flowers and take a long shower.

a couple of weeks ago, it was pouring and the floors were wet and slippery. i was almost home when i decide to make a detour to the saloon nearby to get my hair trim. (the damn heat was just killing me and my hair has been flying out of control) so, the sudden down pour to cool our little island helped in many ways but one, it made the concrete, no-good, smooth floors under my blk - like i mentioned earlier - wet.

I skated my way around mostly and in baby steps i moved inching my way to the shop just 2 blks away from mine and without warning, my sole-less shoes had had enough and went flying in different directions and thus bringing my big fat arse down smack onto the floor.

My quick reaction did nothing to help as instead of doing some fancy break fall they teach at those martial arts schools, i did everything that one shouldn't do and stuck my hand out using my already weak right wrist to break my fall.

within 2 seconds i was curled up like a baby left hand cradling my right wrist and lying there like an idiot unable to move while my clothes start soaking up the water from the floor.

eventually i manage to move to a dry area, leaning against some pillar muttering to myself wondering how much more worst pain i could be in when a stranger walks by and sees me siting there in the void deck and decides to be nice by asking if i was ok - or so it seems. After i tell him i was fine just had a fall and needed to rest a little, he tells me in the most "uncle" like tone...

see lar, run some more

i'm not sure how he could have known this, perhaps he had some ability to see the past i dunno but getting a tell off after a fall, knock, mad incidents/accidents i get myself into has become some what my forte.

i finally can sit properly and get up without wincing but my wrist still can't really lift anything heavier than a bottle of water. i've also have started brushing my teeth with my right hand again when i sliced open my index finger with a pair of tongs just earlier today so i'm guessing my left hand is still on brushing duty until the wound heals; but that, folks, is another story altogether.
