Last thursday, i got up early to watch the preparations for Thaipusam and the Hindus get ready to walk with their kavadi.



i woke up at 3am last thursday and headed off to the temples in little india to watch grown men pierce themselves with sharp spear like tools.

Above is the oldest man i saw while walking around. We didn't stay long enough to see if he too got his tongue pierced but i reckon he did like all the others we saw before him. I thought the whole event was rather interesting and how all my life as a Singaporean i never once took the time to witness this event properly. At least now i can say i have.
