there was a discussion that most Singaporeans chop everything they say and then repeat it twice.
like if we wanted someone to come over instead of saying..

are you coming over to my place later?

we go

coming later? or come come

where, are you and to my place becomes adjunct or else everything becomes pointless to say and the main objective being come is just emphasized and repeated.
