It was just another day in the classroom...

I was working with one of my student when another, who just finished his work and was just sitting quietly at the table, suddenly bursts into a fit of laughter. Usually, he amuses himself with the toy he is playing or something on the floor but today,

there was nothing in his hands,
there was nothing on the floor
and absolutely nothing around him.

He stares up towards the ceiling like he's looking at something and starts to laugh. He's eyes tracks across the classroom and he starts waving his arm.

I call for my co-worker to look.

We both watched as he waves goodbye and stops laughing as suddenly as he started and his eyes break contact as it reaches the classroom doors.

There was nothing moving across our classroom.
There was noone at the door
and there is ABOSOLUTELY no way my boy could have been engaged independently and wave happily at nothing.

i'm just saying.
