for some reason i couldn't remember it was thursday today.

muahaha.

i was walking around in the bleeding heat tryin to figure out what the hell to buy a 10year old for a birthday gift. now, it wasn't like i didn't have a plan. i kinda knew what i wanted to get and i sorta figured out where i was going to get it but laziness took over and i never made it to where the original source of the gift was. (this is an entirely different story and perhaps if you asked i'll tell it to you but for now it really doesn't matter)

so here i was, once again, in the bleeding heat looking for a gift that would make a 10 year old happy for at least 5 minutes right? it's really not an easy task.

a water gun. he doesn't swim.

a yo yo. he probably isn't in to it.

a monopoly playing cards version. (yea like so cool rite?) i don't think he could play it with anyone.

a t-shirt? one of the easiest way out of this but i couldn't find anything cooler than a giordano at the moment and decided against it.

a chess set? he did say he wanted one... for xmas last year. moving on.

so all the randomness was getting to me and my legs were beginning to tire. God forbid the weather be nice and cooling and my jeans would stop riding down my arse.

Finally i walk into the nice air conditioned place thinking the cooler temperatures would set my brains ticking and some brilliant idea would come into my head.. in like 5..4...3....2............1?

i'd love to say it did but it didn't. yes folks. that's life.

i proceed towards the bus interchang a little disappointed in myself but it's getting late and i really doubt i could find anything interesting in this tiny hot shopping area when it dawned on me that hell, if you can't buy a decent gift what do you get?

food.

even 10 year olds eat.

thank god for famous amos.

got a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY cookie and that was it.

sure wasn't the coolest gift ever but he was happy for a good 5minutes eating it. i'll give you that.
