London

Matt was lovely. His home was simple and his room was pretty organized; for a boy.
We laughed, we ate and when it was time to leave, we left with heavy hearts.

London is as interesting as it can get. The famous Mr Ben and the LONDON EYE, the UK guards in their handsome attires and the good old Buckingham Palace. We checked them off our list one by one all in a day.

The metro was our best friend and by the time we were ready to leave we could change lines like a true Londoner.

We caught a group of people riding for World Naked Bike Ride and right after visited the Westminster Abbey  that the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was held.

Speaking of churches, we decided to check out an old history of Padre Pio. My Aunt told me that in one of the shops in London, his gloves are kept in an old frame and is used to bless anyone who wanted to be blessed. It is believed that even after his death, people who were blessed by his gloves continued to see miracles.

I could use a miracle and so we decided to get blessed.

June - the turning

my flight for London was not till 7 in the morning so i decided to stay at a friends who lived nearer to the airport. Around 10pm, i packed and headed to her place but another friend asked if i wanted to do coffee nearby first. so I rerouted and headed on down to the coffee place and a whole bunch of my friends had gathered and waited at the coffee shop to say farewell and a happy birthday before i left.

it was a nice surprise to see everyone gathered there.

thanks a bunch my crazy bunch!

... and that folks was how i celebrated my birthday this year.

the winners will win but the losers will never lose.

I volunteered to watch over the Special Olympians while they participate in their various events only to fall mysteriously ill the second day of camp and had to drag my ass home because my head was burning and i couldn't quite function as a human being. (noone would believe me and they'd just blame it on stress and/or over tiredness.. but i beg to differ.)

We had some crazy problems with one of the dorm rooms with it's key card going missing and then suddenly reappearing back into our pile of dorm keys.

1. there was no way in hell that key was with the other keycards when we checked before
2. it isn't possible that someone had taken the key
3. the room had shut itself when it couldn't possibly have locked on its own without someone physically locking it.

DUM DUM DDDAAAAMMMMM..........

Anyway, that aside, nothing else unusual happened. The athletes did rather well and well... they really do deserve it for all their efforts.

MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

It turned MAY and pretty soon May is going to end.

does anyone know why people yell "mayday! mayday!" while in distress?
apparently,it derives from the French "venez m'aider", meaning "come help me". read more

speaking of French... i'm just about this <___> much closer to my Europe trip and all things beautiful.

April again.

I've useless memories of dates and anniversaries that no longer mean anything any more. What are we suppose to do with these memories? April holds one of these useless memories. A date i use to remember and wait anxiously for. A day i celebrated and thank god you're alive.

I've no resentment.

no hatred.

no pain.

no awkwardness.

I just remember it like it was. Like it is.

I suppose I remember the day now silently and say a prayer for you anyway. A prayer for your family and the memories of the past that without them, there wouldn't be a "me" today like the one i am right now.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong looked exactly how i envisioned it to be. Tall buildings. busy roads.

they say in order to find yourself, sometimes you need to travel alone. however, i've also established the fact that i really hate travelling alone.

It's not that i'm afraid or anything; but the lack of company bores me and not everyone is as friendly as you think they should be.

I checked into the pre booked hostel after searching for it up and down the street, had dinner, washed up and went to bed soon after. I was prepared to leave the place asap and make my way to Macau where i'd meet my friend there and begin my travels with a companion.

We decide to jump off the Macau tower. It wasn't on my bucket list. It was on hers but i did it anyway. Held my breathe and walked off the edge. Just like that. It wasn't that spectacular. There wasn't 100 people below me cheering me on. When it was over, the guys at the bottom unhooked the cords that held me in place and told me to wave at a blinking light.

I loved Macau. The history was rich and the old buildings were beautiful plus I've a soft spot for cobbled flooring.

The best part about travelling is it's locals.
We met some locals who cooked dinner for us on of the nights. We stayed and chatted through most of the night and probably left just before midnight not before making plans to meet the next day for lunch and the final farewell.

Parting is always the most painful part of meeting someone new.

i have no balls.

grow some.

i'm pretty sure you've heard the saying before many times. on tv. on a comic strip. well, just about anywhere.

grow some.

usually it implies to grow some balls.
have courage.
be a man.

who decided that being a man was directly linked to having courage?

i think being a woman is so much tougher.
we carry the blame for falling prey to the snake and taking a bite into the real world
we alone bare fault of sharing the torture with men, who later is punished and banished together out of the garden of eden.

we could have led such peaceful lives if we only just trusted and remain oblivious to the tree of knowledge.

woman these days. are we still unappreciated?
have we become equal to men so much so that they now find us as threats?
have woman become so ambitious in life that it's become normal for woman to actually grow a pair?

if i grew some balls.... and man up, would life really become more easier?
